Our first tour with a professional photographer and filmmaker – something completely new for us. After the tour we were quite excited to see the many great pictures and videos.

Video review

Please take a seat: With a friend of ours – called “Captain Morgan” – we cross Lake Kariba. Just listen to the waves and stories of the old swashbuckler…

Boat trip on Lake Kariba

Not uncommon: We set up camp in the middle of the bush and suddenly a whole group of Zambians appeared out of nowhere. But they are always friendly, curious and helpful.

When the midday sun burns down, all that is left is to escape to a roadside pub. We like to call these establishments “Genickschussdiele”, which basically means “headshot pubs”: For tilting your neck back sharply to drink your beer. Usually there is nothing more than a fridge and cold drinks. A minimalist approach somehow.

Old truck wrecks, gutted cars and burned-out buses on the side of the road are not uncommon. In Zambia, the wear and tear is simply much higher…

Breathe and think. The Victoria Falls are always one of our highlights on tour.

All good at Victoria Falls. You can relax nicely here, especially when the spray of the waterfalls comes down like rain and cools you off.

Our geared out Motorrad Safari Crew all lined up.
We thank all bikers who were with us on the tour. We also thank Jens, our photographer and iXS, who sponsored the motorcycle clothing for the tour.
